History
Her
The Bubbly Ladies’ humble origins started with our founder Julie Gilles, a passionate Champagne girl whose career brought her to Shanghai with Moet Hennessy. Whilst China is an exciting opportunity, it is a male dominated industry and often closed to foreigners. So in order to remain relevant and to continue learning, she got together with a few girlfriends in the industry to share tricks of the trade on a periodic basis. This friendship grew organically into a support group, a platform for knowledge sharing, a safe space for networking and frankly, a lot of fun. With that Bubbly Ladies Shanghai was born in March 2017.
Bubbly Ladies focuses on building wine knowledge and helping women of the industry connect and advance in their careers. The community has gained a strong reputation in Shanghai, which helps its international expansion with the launch of Bubbly Ladies London in 2021, followed by Florence and Napa Valley in 2022.
